It was a gamble, but Babe took Goran up on a promotion — and on moving to Sweden. Astrid helped her find a place near her, so they saw each other all of the time.
Babe liked exploring the city. It was different from New York, but similar too.
Like all big cities were.
It was easy for her to adjust and she was learning Swedish.
She was buying flowers and when she looked up she saw Goran.
“Hej!” he said.
“Hej!”
They had never seen each other out before so Babe was a little nervous.
“Are you happy you moved to Sweden so far?” he asked.
“I am,” she smiled.
She was. Happy about Sweden and this bit of serendipity that brought Goran to her flower run.
“About to take a fika run — wanna come?”
“Yes!”
Babe wanted to come.
